Composite Piping Solutions

High-Pressure Performance, Lightweight Efficiency

Trustwell Energy’s Composite Piping Solutions offer advanced piping systems for high-pressure fluid transport in demanding environments. These piping systems combine the structural integrity of fiber-reinforced materials with the adaptability and ease-of-use of traditional thermoplastics. The result is a ductile, corrosion-resistant, and traceable pipe system designed to outperform standard HDPE, fiberglass, and even steel piping—while reducing cost, weight, and environmental footprint.


With sizes ranging from 12" to 24" and pressures ranging from 350 to 750 psi, this system is ideal for oil and gas, mining, water infrastructure, chemical transport, and geothermal or high-temperature installations. Whether used in buried or surface configurations, composite piping offers a flexible, leak-resistant, and long-lasting alternative for infrastructure projects that demand strength, reliability, and rapid deployment.

Implementation Process

 

1. Design & Specification


Customized Engineering for Performance and Safety
Composite pipe systems are specified based on project pressure, temperature, chemical compatibility, and installation method (buried or above ground). Material selections and wall thickness are tailored accordingly.


 

2. Factory Fabrication & RFID Tagging


Precision Manufacturing with Built-in Traceability
Each pipe segment is spiral-wrapped with a fiberglass-reinforced composite layer, heat-bonded, and finished with a UV-stabilized outer layer. RFID tags are embedded in each section for full lifecycle traceability.


 

3. Fusion Welding Preparation


Standardized Joining Using Familiar Equipment
Composite pipe joints are fused using traditional HDPE butt fusion equipment following ASTM/DVS procedures. Pre-wrapped factory ends or field-applied wraps maintain high-strength fusion zones.


 

4. Field Installation & Support Fittings


Flexible, Quick Installation
The system’s lightweight and flexibility allow for easier handling, faster alignment, and a tighter bending radius compared to steel or fiberglass. Full-pressure mitered fittings, tees, elbows, and flanges are available to support layout needs.


 

5. Hydrostatic Testing & Quality Assurance


Tested to Withstand Pressure and Time
Each installation is hydro-tested based on ASTM F2164 at 1.1x to 1.25x the operating pressure. Traceable data supports quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and future maintenance decisions.


 

6. Commissioning and Long-Term Performance


Built to Endure Harsh Environments
With high impact resistance, thermal flexibility, and full vacuum rating, composite piping systems are ideal for dynamic or corrosive environments. The system is certified to operate under extreme pressure and temperature ranges.
